Official Journal Multimedia – 7th Forum

The presentation made by Alejandra Fernández and Natalia de los Santos focused on the experience of integration of multimedia tools for the publication and dissemination of services of the official newspaper of Uruguay (IMPO).
The main objective of the inclusion of digital tools in operation and distribution of the official journal of Uruguay has been the motivation to achieve a greater proximity to citizens and improve the scope of dissemination of the various services offered by the newspaper. To achieve these objectives have been used various tools and articulated a series of efforts to incorporate digital elements. For example, the façade of IMPO has a giant digital screen where different content, not only those related to the work of the newspaper are transmitted. In the same way, have implemented digital campaigns for the dissemination of the law in a simple language, among other activities.
In relation to the contents of the Web site, note that August 1, 2015 IMPO releases access to the Gazette online, action that was backed by a broad campaign of dissemination via various channels such as television, radio, press, news and social networking portals.
For their part, have been incorporated a number of products and digital services such as databases, normative, thematic, free access to the database of diary, digital library, and integration of the journal social networks.
A second phase of the presentation, highlighted the advantages and impact associated with the massification of the electronic newspaper. This is how we defined a series of commitments and goals related to different aspects, such as: change of presentation, faster publications, added value and inclusiveness, quality/variety of digital services and scope.
